Links in honor of all things awful

And on that note, in honor of me watching all three seasons of Heroes in less than three weeks*, here's a terrible shipper video featuring Claire and Sylar. Admittedly, this pair is strangely alluring, although this video is awful:

And because I have a little bit of shame, I will only link to the most horrifying Heroes shipper idea made by people who don't understand incest.

*I'm bored and working less than full time. I really have nothing else to do. I kind of hate summer. Anyway, I'm going to do a write-up sometime this week.

Thank you Illinois.....the land of Linkin'

My fabulous friend Margaux makes awesome connections between feminism, Ibsen, the 1970s, and good child actors in film: La Reine Margaux

My sister's weekly US History posts fill my inner nerd with joy. This one's about Kansas: Blonder and Thinnerrrr

I don't think I mentioned this before, but I interviewed that awesome sister for a podcast about blogging for my campus's writing center. Here's the newest episode about comic books and graphic novels: Word of Mouth

Daniel Carlson at Pajiba writes a weekly recap of Lost that I find both amusing and insightful: "Namaste" (S5/E9) at Pajiba.

And video for you from a sitcom that's kind of comforting to watch, My Boys. It's coming back on TBS next Tuesday (3/31). In this clip, Brendon has gotten out of control after making it in a local magazine's list of hottest bachelors so the gang has a douchebag intervention:

Linksies

I have a special place in my heart for Keanu Reeves, mostly stemming from A Walk in the Clouds, but he's pretty ridiculous: The Many Faces of Keanu Reeves (Pajiba)

I can totally relate to these notes since my apartment is still getting the newspaper from past residents and they just pile up in our doorway: what's black, white and totally over? (Passive-Agressive Notes)

I totally grew out of these books by the time I was 9 and moved onto Sweet Valley Twins and Friends: The BSC: Staple of my Childhood (Poems I wrote When I Was 12)

Random links and stuff

1. Is this election over yet? SNL last night wasn't even that funny or enjoyable, unless you count how adorable Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler are in Weekend Update. And then only when they weren't talking about the election. I'm getting a little electioned-out, especially since I already cast my absentee ballot. Anyway, I kind of hate all the coverage, and yet can't stop watching/reading it. The hilarious Larry David agrees: Waiting for Nov. 4th.

2. Even though this guy stopped blogging at the end of August, I just recently found it. For some reason I find race relations from the perspective of black people hilarious, so here's Stuff Black People Hate.

3. Last night I went to one of the only quirky and cool places in Provo: Sammy's Cafe. It's located on 27 North 100 West and has delicious burgers and milkshakes--with whole pieces of pie in them!

You should probably know about this:

A blog dedicated to making fun of "Pictures of other people's parties from Flickr." Sorry I Missed Your Party is way more amusing than it should be, but I like laughing at dumb pictures on facebook, so this is really the next step: letting someone else make a picture funnier.

WARNING*: the first photo on there right now is of a guy hurling into a bedpan while tipped over on a bike.

*Or AWESOME ALERT?

Follow-up: Meatloaf Edition

In the spirit of last Wednesday medley, here are some pie charts that show what Meatloaf will and won't do for love:

He Never Said Anything About Covering Old Celine Dion Songs, Though

Thank you for that Daniel Carlson.
